Clear-winged Grasshopper

Camnula pellucida

Adults inhabit open grasslands, agricultural margins, and dry fields with abundant grasses. They feed mainly on grasses and other green plants, escaping threats with powerful leaps and short, rapid flights. Their pale, translucent wings can flash into view when disturbed before folding neatly along the body.
