Red-breasted Goose
Branta ruficollis

The Red-breasted Goose breeds on Arctic tundra, often near wetlands, before migrating to wintering areas around the Black and Caspian Seas. It grazes on grasses, sedges, and cultivated grains, feeding both on land and in shallow water. Its vivid chestnut-red breast and bold black-and-white face make it one of the most striking geese in the world.
