Trumpeter Hornbill
Bycanistes bucinator

Trumpeter hornbills inhabit riverine forest, woodland, and coastal thickets of southeastern Africa. They travel through the canopy and fly between fruiting trees, supplementing a fruit-heavy diet with insects and small vertebrates. Their loud, resonant calls carry over long distances, and females nest behind a mud-sealed cavity entrance.
