Booklice
Cuneopalpus cyanops

Adult booklice inhabit humid bark, leaf litter, stored materials, and other sheltered places where microscopic fungi grow. They feed by scraping mold, algae, and organic films from surfaces. Adults are alert and retreat quickly into cracks when disturbed. Their association with books comes from the mold that can grow in poorly stored paper and bindings.
