Least Chipmunk
Tamias minimus
The least chipmunk lives in open woodland, prairie edges, sagebrush, and rocky ground across much of North America. It darts between cover while foraging for seeds, berries, green plants, fungi, and occasional insects. This is North America's smallest chipmunk, and it uses cheek pouches to carry food back to its burrow.
