Rock Wren
Salpinctes obsoletus

Rock Wrens inhabit dry, rocky canyons, cliffs, talus slopes, and desert outcrops. They hop and scramble among stones while probing cracks for insects, spiders, and other small invertebrates. A notable habit is the frequent cocking and bobbing of the tail while foraging or calling from exposed rocks.
