Ailanthus Webworm Moth
Atteva aurea
Adults occur around woodland edges, gardens, and other places where tree-of-heaven or related host plants grow. They fly by day as well as at dusk, visiting flowers for nectar. Their bright orange, black, and white pattern resembles that of a wasp, an appearance that may discourage predators.
