Yellow Poorwill
Tetracis jubararia
Yellow Poorwills are nocturnal geometer moths found in wooded habitats and nearby shrubby edges. Adults rest quietly on bark or vegetation by day and fly after dark to seek mates and suitable egg-laying sites. Their softly patterned yellow-brown wings provide useful camouflage when folded at rest.
