European Cushion Star
Asterina gibbosa

The European cushion star inhabits rocky shores, tide pools, and shallow coastal seabeds. It moves slowly with tube feet, feeding on small sedentary animals, carrion, and encrusting life. Its thick, low body is often mottled to blend with its surroundings, and it can regenerate lost arms.
