King Quail
Synoicus chinensis
King Quail inhabit grasslands, agricultural margins, marshy meadows, and other areas with dense low vegetation. They spend most of their time on the ground, feeding on seeds, green plant material, and small invertebrates. When disturbed, they usually run for cover before making a sudden short, rapid flight.
