Zander
Sander lucioperca

Adult zander inhabit large lakes, slow rivers, reservoirs, and brackish coastal waters, especially around deep structures and murky bottoms. They are mainly nocturnal predators that ambush fish, though they also take crustaceans and aquatic insects. Their light-sensitive eyes allow effective hunting in dim or turbid water.
