Variable Neon Slug
Nembrotha kubaryana

This colorful sea slug inhabits shallow tropical reefs across the Indo-Pacific. It crawls over reef surfaces to feed chiefly on colonial ascidians, scraping tissue with its radula. Its bold green, black, and orange coloration advertises defensive chemicals that discourage many predators. Despite its slug-like form, it has a tough, chemically protected mantle rather than an external shell.
