Kuruma Prawn
Penaeus japonicus

Adult kuruma prawns inhabit sandy or muddy seabeds in coastal waters, estuaries, and bays. Mostly active at night, they probe the bottom for small invertebrates and carrion. They can rapidly flick their muscular abdomen to shoot backward away from danger.
