Equatorial Spitting Cobra
Naja sumatrana
The Equatorial Spitting Cobra lives in forests, plantations, wetlands, and settled lowlands across parts of Southeast Asia. Mostly active at night, it feeds on rodents, frogs, lizards, and other small vertebrates. When cornered, it spreads its hood, hisses loudly, and can spray venom toward an attacker’s eyes with notable accuracy.
