Eclectus Parrot
Eclectus roratus

Eclectus parrots inhabit tropical rainforests, forest edges, and wooded islands, often nesting in large tree hollows. They climb and fly through the canopy while feeding mainly on fruit, seeds, nuts, flowers, and leaf buds. Adults use loud calls to maintain contact and defend nesting areas. The species is notably sexually dimorphic: males are mostly bright green, while females are predominantly red and blue.
