Horned Treehopper
Centrotus cornutus

Adult horned treehoppers inhabit sunny woodland margins, scrub, and grasslands where suitable host plants grow. They feed on plant sap, piercing stems with their beaks and resting with their roof-like wings folded over the body. The enlarged, horned pronotum breaks up their outline and helps deter predators. Adults can fly between host plants when disturbed.
