Yellow-necked Alate Termite
Kalotermes flavicollis
The winged adult emerges from dry wood during warm, humid conditions to search for a mate and a new nesting site. It has fed on wood throughout its development and now relies on brief flights for dispersal. Its distinctive yellow neck segment helps distinguish it from many other termites.
