Spiked Shieldbug
Picromerus bidens

The adult spiked shieldbug inhabits hedgerows, woodland edges, gardens, and other vegetation-rich habitats. It is an active predator of caterpillars, beetle larvae, and other small insects, grasping prey before piercing it with its rostrum. Its angular, spined body and defensive scent glands help discourage would-be predators.
