Warty Corallimorph
Rhodactis osculifera

This mature corallimorph inhabits shallow tropical reefs, where its broad, fleshy disc anchors firmly to hard surfaces. It expands its tentacles to catch zooplankton and other small drifting food, using stinging cells to subdue prey. During disturbance, it can contract into a compact, better-protected shape. Despite its coral-like appearance, it is more closely related to sea anemones than to stony corals.
