Cuckoo Catfish
Synodontis multipunctatus
The adult cuckoo catfish lives along the rocky and sandy bottom of Lake Tanganyika. It forages mainly at night, using its barbels to find insects, crustaceans, molluscs, and scraps of animal matter. During breeding, it scatters eggs among spawning mouthbrooding cichlids so the cichlids accidentally collect and incubate them.
