Flat Top Shell
Steromphala umbilicalis

The flat top shell lives on rocky shores and in shallow coastal waters, often sheltering among seaweed and stones. It grazes films of algae from hard surfaces with its rasping radula. Its low, flattened spiral shell helps protect it from waves and predators while it clings firmly to rock.
