Oak Titmouse
Baeolophus inornatus

Oak Titmice inhabit dry oak woodlands, mixed forests, and suburban trees across much of California and Baja California. They actively search foliage, bark, and twig tips for insects, spiders, and seeds. A breeding pair commonly uses a natural tree cavity or an old woodpecker hole for nesting. Unlike some related titmice, this species has a plain gray crest rather than a sharply contrasting facial pattern.
