Difoliate Orbweaver
Acacesia hamata

The difoliate orbweaver is a small nocturnal spider found among shrubs and low vegetation in eastern North America. It builds a fine orb web to catch small flying insects, then quickly wraps and bites trapped prey. Its leaflike abdominal pattern helps it blend into vegetation when resting near its web.
