Green Soft-winged Flower Beetle
Dasytes virens
Adults occur on flowers and low vegetation in warm, open habitats. They fly between blooms, feeding on pollen and nectar while also taking very small insects when available. The beetle's metallic green sheen makes it a conspicuous visitor on spring and summer flowers.
