Marsh Wren
Cistothorus palustris

Marsh Wrens inhabit cattail marshes, sedge beds, and other dense wetland vegetation. They climb and flutter through reeds while hunting insects, spiders, and small aquatic invertebrates. Males are especially noted for their rapid, chattering songs and for building multiple rounded nests among the stems. Their streaked brown plumage blends closely with the marsh vegetation.
