Llama
Lama glama
Llamas live in open highlands, dry grasslands, and managed pasture, especially in the Andes and wherever they are domestically raised. They browse and graze on grasses, leaves, and other vegetation, using a split upper lip to select food. When threatened or irritated, an adult may kick, bite, or spit regurgitated stomach contents as a defense.
