White-lipped Pitviper
Trimeresurus albolabris

The adult white-lipped pitviper inhabits forest edges, gardens, and dense vegetation across Southeast Asia. It is a largely nocturnal ambush hunter that takes rodents, frogs, lizards, and birds with a rapid venomous strike. Heat-sensitive pits between the eyes and nostrils help it locate warm-blooded prey in low light.
