Hairy-footed Flower Bee
Anthophora plumipes

Adults fly swiftly through gardens, woodland edges, and sunny banks where early spring flowers are abundant. They drink nectar for energy and gather pollen to provision individual underground nest cells. Males are especially recognizable by their enlarged, feathery hind feet and often patrol flower-rich territories.
