Parasitoid wasp
Pteromalus puparum

Adult parasitoid wasps occur in gardens, crop fields, and open habitats where their butterfly hosts are found. They drink nectar or honeydew for energy, while females search for butterfly pupae in which to lay eggs. The adults fly actively between plants and inspect potential hosts with their antennae. This species is a natural enemy of the cabbage white butterfly.
