Brown Carpet Beetle
Attagenus smirnovi
Adult brown carpet beetles are small, dark brown insects found in warm buildings and, at times, around flowers outdoors. Adults feed chiefly on pollen and nectar, while females seek sheltered sites in which to lay eggs. Unlike the destructive larva, the adult can fly and may disperse between rooms or buildings.
