Coast Worm Lizard
Cynisca leucura

The coast worm lizard spends most of its life underground in loose soil, leaf litter, and termite-rich ground. It searches through tunnels for ants, termites, insect larvae, and other small invertebrates, seizing them with its jaws. Despite its lizard ancestry, it has no visible limbs and uses its compact, ringed body to push efficiently through the soil.
