Red-Tailed Racer
Gonyosoma oxycephalum

The adult red-tailed racer inhabits forest, forest edge, plantations, and gardens across parts of Southeast Asia. It moves swiftly through shrubs and trees, hunting birds, lizards, rodents, and frogs before subduing prey with a firm bite and constriction. Despite its impressive length and defensive hissing, it is a nonvenomous colubrid with a characteristically red tail.
