Amazon Tree Boa
Corallus hortulana
Amazon tree boas inhabit humid forests, forest edges, and riverside vegetation across Amazonia. Mostly nocturnal, they wait on branches for birds, mammals, frogs, and lizards before striking and constricting prey. Their highly variable colors and patterns provide effective camouflage among leaves and bark.
