Electric Blue Johanni
Pseudotropheus johannii
Adult electric blue johanni inhabit rocky reef zones in Lake Malawi, where they move through crevices and defend small feeding territories. They scrape algae from rocks and also take small invertebrates. Males develop vivid blue-and-black coloration and perform vigorous fin displays toward rivals.
