White-throated Towhee
Melozone albicollis
White-throated Towhees inhabit brushy woodland edges, thickets, and scrubby clearings. They spend much of their time on the ground, scratching through leaf litter for seeds, insects, and berries. Their loud whistles and calls carry through dense cover, while their short rounded wings provide quick flights between sheltering shrubs.
