Mbu Pufferfish
Tetraodon mbu
Adults inhabit slow-moving channels, floodplains, and vegetated margins in the Congo River basin. They use powerful fused teeth to crush snails, crustaceans, and other hard-shelled prey. This is one of the world's largest freshwater puffers, capable of inflating dramatically when threatened.
