Clover Leaf Beetle
Altica tombacina
Adult clover leaf beetles live on clover and related legumes, feeding by chewing characteristic holes in the leaves. When disturbed, they spring away with enlarged hind legs and may fly to nearby vegetation. This small flea beetle can become a noticeable garden pest when many adults feed on young plants.
