24-spot Ladybird
Subcoccinella vigintiquatuorpunctata
The adult 24-spot ladybird inhabits grassy places, crop edges, and gardens with abundant low plants. It walks and flies between leaves, feeding largely on herbaceous vegetation such as clovers and related plants. Its rounded, spotted wing cases provide a conspicuous warning appearance, and it can exude foul-tasting fluid when handled. Despite being a ladybird, this species is primarily vegetarian.
