Small-spotted Lizard
Mesalina guttulata
Adults live in open desert, stony plains, and dry scrub where they bask and forage on warm days. They hunt ants, beetles, and other small invertebrates with quick dashes across bare ground. The small pale spots provide effective camouflage among sand, gravel, and sun-bleached rocks.
