Baron's Green Racer
Philodryas baroni

Baron's green racers inhabit wooded savannas, forest edges, and brushy habitats in parts of Bolivia, Paraguay, and Argentina. Often active by day, they climb through vegetation and pursue lizards, frogs, birds, and small mammals. Their long, slender bodies and green coloration help them move discreetly among branches. This rear-fanged snake uses mild venom to help overpower prey.
