Freshwater Goby
Rhinogobius flumineus
This small goby lives on gravelly stream bottoms, especially in cool, clear flowing water. It hunts aquatic insect larvae, tiny crustaceans, and other small bottom-dwelling prey. Adults cling close to rocks with fused pelvic fins and may defend a small patch of shelter.
