Red Fox
Vulpes vulpes

Adult red foxes live in forests, grasslands, farmland, suburbs, and tundra edges across much of the Northern Hemisphere. They hunt mostly alone, using sharp hearing and a sudden pounce to catch rodents, rabbits, birds, insects, and other small prey, while also eating fruit and carrion. Red foxes dig or reuse dens for raising young and caching food. Their long bushy tail helps with balance and warmth, and their winter coat can make them look much larger than they are.
