Double-ended Pipefish
Syngnathoides biaculeatus

Adults inhabit shallow Indo-Pacific seagrass meadows, lagoons, and sheltered mangrove edges. They move slowly through vegetation while feeding on small crustaceans and other tiny animals with their tubular snouts. A notable feature of pipefish is that the male carries developing eggs in a brood pouch until the young are released.
