Brueckner's Stick Insect
Trachyaretaon carmelae
Adult Brueckner's stick insects inhabit tropical forest understory and shrubbery in the Philippines. They browse on leaves, usually feeding quietly at night and remaining still during the day. Their long, twig-like body and irregular spiny shape make them remarkably difficult to distinguish from surrounding branches.
