Sand Goby
Pomatoschistus minutus
Adult sand gobies inhabit shallow coastal waters with sandy or muddy bottoms, including sheltered estuaries. They wait near the substrate before lunging at small crustaceans, worms, and other invertebrates. Males defend nests beneath suitable cover and tend the attached eggs until they hatch.
