Black Goby
Gobius niger

Adult black gobies inhabit shallow coastal seas, estuaries, and brackish waters with rocky or sandy bottoms. They wait close to cover before snapping up small crustaceans, worms, and other bottom-dwelling prey. Males guard eggs laid beneath stones or inside sheltered crevices.
