Peach-fronted Parakeet
Eupsittula aurea

Peach-fronted Parakeets inhabit savannas, dry woodland, forest edges, and palm groves in central South America. They fly quickly between feeding areas and nest sites, often using tree hollows, earthen banks, or termite mounds for shelter. Their diet consists mainly of seeds, fruit, berries, buds, and cultivated grains. The distinctive peach-orange patch above the bill gives the species its common name.
