Common Goby
Pomatoschistus microps

Common gobies inhabit shallow coastal seas, brackish estuaries, and muddy tidal areas. They hunt small crustaceans, worms, and other bottom-dwelling invertebrates with quick snaps of their jaws. During breeding, males prepare and guard nests beneath stones or shells until the eggs hatch.
