Padanian Goby
Padogobius bonelli
Adults live on the rocky or gravelly bottoms of clear, flowing freshwater rivers and streams. They wait among stones before lunging at aquatic insects, crustaceans, and other small invertebrates. During breeding, a male guards eggs laid beneath a stone or within a sheltered cavity.
