Green moray
Gymnothorax funebris

The green moray lives among coral reefs, rocks, and mangroves in warm western Atlantic waters. It spends much of the day tucked into a crevice, ambushing fish, crabs, and cephalopods that pass within reach. Its apparent green color comes from a yellow mucus coating over bluish skin, and its open mouth helps pump water over its gills.
